LAND DRAINAGE
Land drainage is essential in farm and agricultural work as it hands farmers a great deal of control over the production of their farmland. Waterlogged fields will hinder the production of any crops or produce that you are growing, as well as making access to your fields extremely difficult. Failing to ensure your fields are properly drained could be financially damaging for your farm.
In choosing Holloway Agri-Drain Ltd, you can be assured that we will provide an effective agricultural drainage system for your property.
Our aim is to introduce higher benefits associated with land drainage, reducing the cost of drainage pipe installation without impeding the main function of the drainage. TRENCHINGWe have a range of trench specifications available to customers providing laser-graded, clean trenches for precise installations of your choice.
Spoil is easily dealt with, being placed either side of the trench allowing for a permeable fill to be used. Due to the chain dig characteristics, the spoil excavated is usually fine but can be replaced easily if specified by the customer. |
GPS SURVEYINGOur drainage installations are surveyed using Trimble GPS data collection equipment.

7 Step Drainage Process
Step 1: Consult With Drainage Expert
Holloway Agri-Drain Ltd would like to meet with each client to gain knowledge about what the client’s final goals and objectives are. This will also give us a chance to ask questions about previous installed drainage on your property, where the outlets are located and identifying any legacy maps that might be available.
Step 2: Site Visit and Survey
A map of the land in question will be developed using GPS instruments to help identify surface slopes and drainage outlets. At the site visit, we will identify for you any existing drainage (if it is present) and locate the nearest drainage main accessible.
Step 3: Drainage Design and Lay Out
After the site visit, a drainage design will be developed from the information gathered. This design is very crucial to the overall drainage of the land with many factors considered while designing a final drainage plan.
This is the stage where we take the customer's goals regarding how quickly they want the land drained, establishing pipe placement based on soil types, factor in the grade of the pipe and determine how large of a drain main is needed to properly drain the land. A well planned drainage design is a key component with proven high economic returns.
Step 4: Project Estimate
Keeping the customer involved with the agricultural drainage project with a project estimated timeline.
Step 5: Project Installation
Holloway Agri-Drain Ltd take pride in leaving a drainage project, knowing the drains are installed with care and accuracy.
Step 6: Project Completion
At the completion of your project, Holloway Agri-Drain Ltd will provide you with a accurate map of your drainage layout. The drainage map will be colour coded with precise indicators of distances and drain size on your property.
Step 7: Drainage System Maintenance
If a drainage problem occurs with drains installed by Holloway Agri-Drain Ltd or other commercial installers, we will make ourselves available to handle repairs on any project, so you can rest assured knowing that we have you covered.
