Job title: General operative/360 excavator operator.

Location: Sedgeberrow Evesham, Worcestershire and surrounding areas.

Hours: Full time - 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (can vary)  Monday to Friday, some weekend work may be required.

Salary: Self-employed (rates negotiable)

We are an established land drainage business of which has been trading for nearly forty years, we pride ourselves with our high standard of work and expertise which has made us a very reputable company.

Responsibilities & Duties:
We are looking for an general operative who has experience with driving a 14 ton 360 excavator with tilt rotator attachment, mini excavators, dumpers, rollers, tractors, 4x4 towing with trailers and general plant maintenance.

You must be able to accurately record all working hours on site and keep a record of all materials used to assist in accurate billing to our clients. Be able to lease with customers requirements making onsite decisions.
You will work on various projects including agricultural land drainage, utility installations, ditching, culvert and lake/pond construction. This position will also include labouring duties.

The candidate:
  • Experience in land drainage methods is a advantage.
  • Operating machines essential.
  • Driving licence (including towing trailers).
  • Must be competent and able to be left alone to deal with customers and their queries.
  • Self-organised and motivated.
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Willing to learn new skills.
  • Experience in working to a very high standard.

Qualifications:
  • CPCS or NPORS advantageous.
  • Driving Licence.
  • Ideally you will work on a self employed basis, option of permanent position after a three month probationary period.
